Expressive Arts

What is Expressive Arts?

The term expressive arts refer to a combination of dance, writing, visual arts, drama, music or other creative outlets. Expression through art is a way to help participants gain a sense of their authentic nature in a nonjudgmental way, while allowing them to express their individual personality and bring attention to their strengths.

The therapist may intertwine these creative outlets into the therapy session when suited to the participants’ needs.
